Amphibious Base USS ASHLAND
Quartermaster 3rd class
Bootcamp: Sandiego Californication
After that: Norfolk Virginia Naval Base for six months of training
Then: Off to New Orleans, LA for commissioning duty aboard the USS ASHLAND. I spent about a year there outfitting the ship with all kinds of equipment. I'm a plank owner! Shellback too...
All in all it was alot of hard work and alot of fun. Visited places like Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Spain, Italy, Turkey, France, Romainia and a host of other nations.
I'm air craft armament systems specailist. Being in the backshop, that means that I take apart, inspect, fix, reassemble, and test the various bombracks and missile launchers that go ont the F-16s and A-10s here.
