Labor: continuous work, until designated rest day in different cultures

Can someone provide such lead for old Roman , Egyptian , Indian , Chinese and Greek rest days

Well let me start with : God give a commandment to the Israelite s through Moses : six days you will labor and the seventh you will rest , it was called Sabbath ( not know if misspelled )
I am interested how and when it was changed to Sunday , and in the case of Islam why it was changed to Friday,
I wonder if other culture in the east , about thir day of rest.
