They initially seemed upfront about it being a socialist party (LINK), but have now retreated behind a generic "left-wing" label. Who wants membership in yet another one that cowers in private shame, or appears to compromise with the center-left? You can get that with their former party, though YP probably will be more critical of Israel than timid Labour (sans the Corbyn era of the past).

Corbyn is lying, cowardly, hypocritical POS. Absolutely ruined the labour party and brought out all that was bad back and front facing.
Abbott a known anti English incoherent bigot.
Angela Rayner, well she showed her true hypocritical colours, good riddance.
Livingston, admittedly around already but allowed to persist under Corbyn along with all the other anti semites.
They even tried to get around the damning equal rights investigation and final report by issuing their own, they must have thought we were stupid.

Funny thing is that I decided not to back Corbyn because of one issue, his stance on the use of nuclear weapons, that was before all this.

IF he turns out to be a boys club sexist too I would not be surprised, he has lied about everything from Novichok to virgin trains and anti Semitism.

INTRO: Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana will be dropped as Your Party leaders after members voted that a “collective” headed by a non-MP should make major decisions about its future.

A second option, for a traditional single leader, which would have seen Mr Corbyn and Ms Sultana battle it out to head the new left-wing party they founded earlier this year, was also rejected by members.

Instead, by a small margin of 51.6 to 48.4 per cent, they voted that the party should, for its first two years, embrace a "collective” member-led leadership model, not led by an MP.

Ms Sultana and Mr Cobryn were both listed as officers when "Your Party” was incorporated as a company earlier this year. But it has been riven by infighting and rifts almost since the new group was announced... (MORE - details)

Snubbing the two that founded it. But that's presumably in line with the collective attitude -- refuse establishment figures who have been cavorting with the mainstream crowd of politicians.

But this party isn't even crypto-democratic-socialist any longer. It kicked out members of the Socialist Workers Party and the Revolutionary Communist Group. So ultimately, it's not that much radically different from Labour. And accordingly can't even cash in on the momentum of the DSA-Mamdani gyration transpiring across the pond.

It’s just like these extreme Protestant sects: No True Scotsmen all over the place, arguing among themselves over ideology and doomed to splinter. It was just the same with the various communist factions 50 years ago. Intrinsically fissiparous. And in Corbyn and Sultana one has two hopeless, not to mention mutually incompatible, personalities from the viewpoint of forging a united party.

I had some time for Angela Rayner. Although her politics is not mine, she was I think a voice for the traditional working class and gave Starmer's government a more balanced appeal to the Labour Party, rather as John Prescott did for Blair. When the PM is an Islington lawyer, you need someone a bit gritty from the North for balance. I don't see her as a devious fantasist like Corbyn, at any rate. I think she can come back in due course, once she has done her penance for this fairly minor property tax evasion.
