No, it's easy to find one thing completely incorrect like answers pointed out. It kind of makes the rest irrelevant so why waste time?

You seem to miss out on the need for scientific phenomena to be repeatable. You don't have a true explanation for something if you don't have some measure of predictive power over it. Use the Quran to predict the next meteor shower or something. Use it to find new sources of water and energy, see if it can do a better job than some guy who just guesses at random. Use it to design an airplane that can also function as a submarine, or to build a faster computer, something we can directly observe without having to take someone else's word for it. No, the moment something's observed it does not become "explained", that's just a completely upside-down understanding of science and how it attempts, with unparalleled success, to predict and model the real world.

No because it's stupid, just like your religion.

But continue to waste your life in whichever way you see fit. It's your trip.

But you nevertheless consider eachother friends?
    How can that be?

I am bringing this up because both of you are vocal posters in the religion forum, and as such, serve as examples of your respective religions.

Mod Hat - Closure and Redirect

Mod Hat — Is this really the state of our Religion subforum?

I'm not certain this thread should have stood for the short period it did. It seems a bit preachy from the outset: "Islam is the truest way of life".

Actually, there is a reasonable argument that eating your food raw and shitting on the ground is the truest way of life. But that's the problem with religious evangelization: Its definitions and perspective are entirely its own, separated by a vast chasm from anything approaching objectivity.

To the other, even setting aside the evangelism, the discussion is something of a disappointing assessment of this community. The discussion isn't so much a problem of gutter intellect. That is, maybe if I leave it open long enough, the quality will improve to the point that it is gutter intellect.

And, no, that's not really a good cost-benefit analysis, is it? (Maybe if I give people enough chances, they'll stop embarrassing themselves!)

Thread closed as preaching, but also for the striking absence of intellect throughout; redirected accordingly.
