Is this a good site to share cosmology and theoretical physics ideas?

I'm looking for a place to share ideas about the universe/cosmology/theoretical physics as an amateur without having some academia acolyte jump down my throat for not having a phD on the subject. Is this site such a place or is there no point in sharing ideas anymore because trolls are everywhere?

Should be fine, so long as your ideas are reasonably well thought out and you don’t mind them being challenged a bit. But the site is fairly quiet, so don’t expect a lot of commentary.

(If you want to propose ideas that set out to contradict major theories of established science, then you must expect a fair degree of criticism, as that’s only to be expected on a science forum.)

Parilyz:

This place is not perfect, but there are people here (themselves not perfect) who are interested in helping you learn.

If you ruffle their feathers, they'll ruffle yours back.

Hang around, get a sense of the place.

learn attitude.

They'll put up with some FU's

But not many.

Thin skinned.
