It should be noted, of the 1.5 million migrants spilling into Germany, we're not talking women and children fleeing. By and large, most of the refugees are men. About 70% suggest the estimates. We're talking about nearly 1,000,000 undocumented young men pouring into cities not prepared to house, feed and look after them. The political ineptitude is now reaching ludicrous proportions.

IMO - literally insane. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted, one could say: Progressive Socialism's finest moment. An inevitability really, if you stop and think about it.

If you think you can take a million undocumented men, unable to speak the language, unfamiliar to the local culture - and in many ways probably ANTI the very Progressive Socialist ideals, the Progressive Socialists spout without a wave of crime soon to follow, you're literally living in La La land. These are economic refugees pushing past country after country to the land of milk and honey / Social Welfare State. If they wanted safety they could have stopped 5 countries back.

Anyway, I truly feel sorry for the refugees, because this isn't going to end well for them. As for Germany, I really don't what to say. Other than, we'll see. Some of these men are really bad people. I don't know what the statistics would be like on something like this. The number of killers? Rapists? Thieves? It might be low - or it could be high. Who knows? I would think it would be as much a statistical certainty that some innocent people, many refugees as well as Germans, are going to be mugged, raped, even murdered. Unless there's some humongous camp that can house and monitor these million men, it's pretty much an inevitability. Wicked people exist in this world and when they see a prize like this - it's like a light to moths. I hate to sound sexist, but women and children must be housed separably.

Well it's that old perspective thingy again. It's an economic crisis for Syria. It's an economic boon for Germany. Germany suffers from a declining population. Germans are having fewer babies these days. Homes will need to be built. These new immigrants will need clothing, education, food and all the other things that go along with living in Germany. It's an economic boon to the Syrian immigrants, they go from a war torn country living in poverty to stable modern economically prosperous European nation. So the only ones who lose here are those who stayed behind.

No one can know if the literal flood of undocumented people in recent weeks retains the same profile - so, for now, it's an unknown. Debtor Prisons predate the USA and still exist. The evidence suggests they are ONLY maintained by the State (Republic, Empirical, Theocratic or otherwise).

A Libertarian society may or may not have Debtor Prisons - it's all dependent on what free people voluntarily opt for in their private contract with other people around them. What we do know is our current Progressive Socialistic Fascist society DOES have Debtor Prisons - and this is even when we have protections attempting to LIMIT the reach of the State. See, unlike our Statist society - people in a Libertarian society would have to PAY for them directly, and this would mean they'd have to THINK about the real world and the implications of supporting a system that includes debtor prisons. Actually Joe, you are the moocher. Oh course you're more than happy to pay the State a tax - it's the State that's forcing the poor and the weak to pay for your early retirement. Hell, my father retired at 46 on $5000 a month. He could take more if wanted as he hasn't even collected all that the State could give him if he fills in the forms. Bailing out GM was one of the best things that ever happened to him. So, yes, income tax is propping up the system that works for you. But, sorry Joe, in the real world, in the real America - the poor are getting poorer. The middle class is disappearing. McJobs and SlumLords are the reality for more and more Americans. No more mom at home - nope, day supervision centers, SSRI's and Government Schooling is the New American Dream.

But don't worry, thanks to Government Schooling, the functionally illiterate will keep voting for the Magic Thinking.

Debtor Prisons predate the USA and still exist. The evidence suggests they are ONLY maintained by the State (Republic, Empirical, Theocratic or otherwise).

Oh, and where do they exist today Michael? Didn't I say debtor prisons existed during the era of your Libertarian nirvana, back when government did very little in the way of regulation, back in the days before the nasty income tax?

A Libertarian society may or may not have Debtor Prisons - it's all dependent on what free people voluntarily opt for in their private contract with other people around them. What we do know is our current Progressive Socialistic Fascist society DOES have Debtor Prisons - and this is even when we have protections attempting to LIMIT the reach of the State. See, unlike our Statist society - people in a Libertarian society would have to PAY for them directly, and this would mean they'd have to THINK about the real world and the implications of supporting a system that includes debtor prisons. People generally thinking a bit about things they're sent bills for directly. Which is why income tax helps to undermine society while at the same time promoting Magic Thinking. No one is sent a bill for the over paid Union Teacher who's kids cannot read or write - so they don't care.

And how do we know our current "progressive socialistic fascist" society does have debtor prisons? Perhaps you can point one out?
