Am I? You're saying it doesn't happen? My point TS is that this is the internet. We are all faceless unknowns to you. You are judging others as to whether they'd jerk off at the photo of your child or not based on how they type, how you perceive what they say in threads and how nice they are to you in these threads?TruthSeeker said:You are being paranoid, Bells.
I'm guessing you meant to put a "not" in there somewhere? And you don't think anyone can pretend to be wise and nice?TruthSeeker said:I know you are a pedophile because pedophiles are not the kind of people that are usually wise. I see that you are wise. Since nobody can pretend to be wise, I know that you are very unlikely a pedophile- or for that matter, a "bad" person in any way.

I'm not saying that you are either. What I am saying is that it's always best to err on the side of caution. I'm not ashamed to be paranoid about this. I view this in the same light as posting all my personal details, such as full name, address, telephone numbers, etc on an internet forum. I simply wouldn't do it. There are a lot of weirdos out there and sometimes a level of paranoia is good when one considers who has access to the internet nowdays.Cottontop3000 said:Not to offend anyone else either, but you do have a point. I could be a nameless, tricky pedophile, Truthseeker. But, for what it's worth, I am not. I may be worse things, if you have read certain of my other posts here in this forum, but I am not a pedophile.
I totally agree. When I said "meet someone" before, I meant know them.. as in people you actually know and have known for a long time. It's hard to trust anybody now days and you are right, we don't know who to trust. But I'd rather trust my family who I've known all my life and my friends who I've known for most of my life. I don't trust people easily and I trust people on the internet even less because even though we communicate on a forum or some post their photo's on the site, etc, the people on this or any other forum are still nameless unknowns, about who I know nothing at all and can verify nothing from what they've said about themselves. Also, I don't know if you really have to meet someone in person to know if you can trust them. I think that even when you meet someone in person, face to face, you may never really know 100% if you can trust them. It's always your choice as to whether you can trust someone or not, and this choice is always based on less than 100% of the facts. Trust is a hard thing for some to give or to receive. Everything is relative.
