If you could SLIDE?

So your messing around, down in your basement on your next science fair project. Your making this gadget to enduce a phasic shift of multiple quantum layers, but somehow you happen to make a little bit of a wrong turn and find yourself in control of this parallel slide device.

The question here is if you could travel to any point in history and make a change, so that you could travel to that parallel world to observe the differences, which points would they be?
