Wasn't the concept of dark matter devised because nobody could find this "missing matter" which was supposed to comprise a good hunk of the Universe ?
Well - according to this, they found the missing stuff... ...if so, does it mean there never was any dark matter ?

Using FRBs as a guide, astronomers at the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian (CfA) and Caltech have shown that more than three-quarters of the universe's ordinary matter has been hiding in the thin gas between galaxies, marking a major step forward in understanding how matter interacts and behaves in the universe.

No. This is specific to the amount of baryonic matter , i.e. composed of conventional protons, neutrons etc, predicted to exist from Big Bang models. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Missing_baryon_problem

Dark matter is non-baryonic, as it does not interact with radiation, only making its presence felt by its gravity.

So this research confirms the suspicion that there a lot of ordinary matter between the galaxies, so spread out that it is hard to detect. But the nature of Dark Matter, assuming it exists, remains an enigma.
