Ivan:
i see a thread closed because I don't want to discuss my posts.
You're posting to a
discussion forum.
Why would I want to waste my time arguing?
You don't have to argue. You could just discuss your thoughts. Answer questions that people ask you. Maybe ask a few questions yourself. Compare ideas with other people. etc.
On the other hand, if you're going to make controversial claims, then chances are good that you're going to be asked for evidence or arguments that support those claims. sciforums is the kind of place where that sort of thing happens, you see.
But your readers shouldn't have to wait for you to be asked. You should post the evidence and/or arguments that support your position up front. That will save a lot of time and back-and-forth.
I post the information I find interesting or compelling. You can make of it what you want. Why is that a problem?
That, in itself, is not necessarily a problem. However, lately you mostly been cutting and pasting your chats with AI chatbots to this forum, often without any further commentary.
Again, this is a
discussion forum. There are real people here. If they want to talk to an AI or read AI slop, they can do that directly, rather than reading a transcript of your interactions with AI. I think that most of our members are here because they want to talk to
people.
If all you want to do is to post information that you find interesting and compelling, why choose a discussion forum for that? Why not start a blog, instead?
I didn't realize I am required to respond in a fixed period of time.
You aren't required to do that. I waited politely for you to respond to some direct questions I asked you.
After you came back here and read my posts, you decided to completely ignore them.
You can't complain that
I was too impatient and didn't give you enough time to respond to the questions I asked you. I was patient. You clearly weren't interested in having a discussion on a discussion forum.
It seems you are more interested in having pissing matches than simply exploring a topic.
Who is "you" in this context? You didn't address your post to anybody in particular.
Did you mean
me?
I tried on four or five separate occasions over the past couple of weeks to explore a topic with you. You chose on each occasion to ignore me completely.
You don't have to engage with me, of course. That's up to you. It would be better if you would engage cordially and with a little politeness, of course, but if you can't manage that, I can accept your limitations.
Anyway, third repeat, for emphasis: sciforums is a
discussion forum. If you're not here to have any discussions and if you want to proselytise your beliefs or preach a sermon, then you will very likely run afowl of our site positing guidelines. You'll be better off taking your sermons elsewhere.
Hope this helps!
