Human Cytomegalovirus, common virus, yet not well known

"Most of us have heard of viruses such as measles and mumps—not to mention the more serious HIV and Ebola. But who has heard of Human Cytomegalovirus (HCMV)? I certainly hadn't until I started my Ph.D. back in 2001.

HCMV infects 50-60% of people in the UK alone, and infection is reportedly as high as 100% in developing countries such as the Philippines and Uganda."

are those countrys acting in the same urgent manner towards equal human rights ?
homosexual rights ?
rights to abortion ?
rights to contraception ?
rights to a judicial system ?
rights to a fair trial ?

asserting western morality as a sense of need is what they keep saying they dont want.

Fortunately CMV causes a relatively mild viral infection in normal people. Unless you are immunocompromised (cancer, HIV, etc). In this case, infection with CMV can be catastrophic.
It can also cause trouble to the embryo if the mother gets infected during pregnancy, especially during the first trimester.
