No, you're not better. You have to speak multiple languages because you can't drive more than a few hours without having to change languages. We, on the other hand, had the good sense to speak one language from sea to shining sea.

You also seem to fail to realize that English is not the official language of the US by law. In fact some states have other official languages. Such as French is Louisiana and Spanish in New Mexico. Hawaii in Hawaii.
