In all EU countries that I've been to British English in state schools is taught from the first grade - Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland (non-EU) - I think that that's the same in other countries as well, maybe not France.
Yes, but many of those countries get US TV/movies. I had an aupair from Estonia that spoke perfect American English when she arrived. How? From watching American TV.
So we are better than you. We speak American, British, our native language, and some other(s).
No, you're not better. You have to speak multiple languages because you can't drive more than a few hours without having to change languages. We, on the other hand, had the good sense to speak one language from sea to shining sea.
