How do you post a poll?

I see the check box at the bottom but I don't know how to make all the choices and make the poll appear, can anyone help?

Posting a poll takes a little forethought before doing so. You need to know how many items you wish the voters to vote on. You click the button that says Yes, and see how many items it will take to make the poll you want. After the post is made, you will be taken to the poll screen to fill in your options.

Ohhh, I never went further then clicking the check box.
