so i just lost two long posts i made, one of which i wrote half of yesterday and finished today, clicked on preview and my session has expired, the autosave recovered a very old version of the document.

i started posting "regularly" two days ago, yesterday i was with a friend in a lab, he finished all his required experiments, i went back home with a nothing but a headache and an unanswered report of balerion's offensive ramblings. plus half a dozen new posts to reply to.

so my question is, how the heck do you guys do it?

last time i was really active here i was a student living with my parents, so managing studies and sciforums was doable, and i didn't care much anyhow. but now..

what about the rest of you? especially the few i think are college faculty?

hope the poll sheds some light.

ps. we can't edit polls?

For me, it used to be number 4... Now, it's option number 5.

Real life? I've heard of that. What is it?

I guess that I usually check in early in the morning (California time) and again in the evening. I do find myself with more time these days, since I've hit 65 and am now pretty much retired. But I still typically spend most of my days away from my computer.

I do 3D modeling, so I'm always taking breaks when the computer is doing a difficult operation. I haven't had as much time now as in the past decade, since my career is going really well and I'm much busier. Kim Kardashian sent out an instagram of a project I worked on! My work can also be found on Gizmodo.com. But I've always made time for Sciforums.

Ive worked from home for the past 16 years but im fully retired now;;; taken care of home stuff is no big issue... more like project after project... an in a week or 2 i shoud be done remodelin/doublin the size of our bathroom closet... an after that... puttin the stuff in the detached garauge in order... an by then garden an flowers an mowin grass will keep me buisy... but not to wory... i will still find time to teech stuff to people (especialy James R) here at Sciforims :)

You forgot to offer "I don't think it's anyone's business" as an option. Therefore I, for one, will not respond to your poll, except with a question of my own: what's it to ya?

Self employed, work from home, have for 45 years now. Stop by in the AM as a matter of habit. :)

Full time college student, and i mostly read over the discussions. I'll only ever post when i do research into that subject so that i can contribute a post of decent merit or credibility. For the most part i share articles with the forum community and silently read and observe all of your reactions or discussions ( you are all quite entertaining and fascinating)
