Now you have to wonder if Gore's endorsement was the death-knell for Dean, or if Dean never really was anything more than an oddity that held the fascination of the media for a bit, until they got bored and moved on to Kerry.
Maybe if Gore could have tapped into this apparent well-spring of raw emotion three years ago, he would not be looking more and more like Stephen Douglas.
