Listening to the radio the other night, I heard some scientist talking about the northern Summer of 2003, when about 30,000 people died in Europe. He said that the hottest Summer in Europe prior to 2003 was 1947--but that now the average Summer base-temp. was the same as 1947.

Yes, I suspect thats the reason behind the Medieval Warm period, when Greenland was green and the Vikings sailed the ice free waters of the arctic sea, straight on to Canada.kmguru said:

Consider that this period occured with NO massive burning of fossil fuels, which has only bumped the CO2 levels up from .03% to .039% of the total atmosphere.

But more seriously, what caused the increase in Arctic ice cover between 1950 and 1975? Man made global warming? If global warming (heat) will cause temperatures to drop (making record snowfall in South Africa, New Zealand, South America, and the Andean Cordillera), then I will buy an oven for making ice cubes for my scotch!
Here I bring to your attention these two notes I recently received by mail from Dr. Arthur rorsch, from the the Netherlands:
*The Netherlands Royal Academy of Sciences (KNAW) informed me in a private letter that it was planning to have a workshop on Scientific Assessment of Climate Change in 2007,
* Other organizations are also planning to have an independent assessment made of the IPCC Assessment Report 4 (AR4) that is scheduled for publication in February 2007, and
* In my opinion, certain rules have to be agreed in order to establish a quality standard for any scientific assessment that is to be performed.
The two rather elaborate treatises may only be of interest to scientists and science administrators who actually become involved in a scientific assessment, and I would appreciate it of you would be so kind to forward the notes to people or organizations who are expected to have an interest..It means that some governments have begun to see that the IPCC is not giving an accurate vision of what climate change or global warming is. It seems they want to make sure they are not being fooled again into another and much worse Kyoto Treaty.

You'll really start to feel a little more radiant 'heat' in about 1 billion years from now as our sun starts it's long march to become a red giant someday. Forget about putting the beer on ice then.
