On a similar note to Xev: faucault. How the essence of punishment has gone from physicality to the soul. We used to punish the person (and publicly*!) but now try to reform the 'soul' (prison) and attempt to make the person a useful member of society.

* stocks, hangings, hanging drawing and quartering.

Write about drugs. Im serious.. there are so many angles that you can take. Write about how some view drugs as inherently evil and some view them as a door that can open your mind. I like to beleive that drug users should only use drugs to amplify an event, but some of my freinds just straight up do drugs.... its a battle.

Anyway, drugs are so controversial... i could write for days about why Peyote should be legal. Maybe you should do some research on that. Its very interesting stuff.
