No, I have posted several times on this. I went to looking to confirm my faith, I wanted it to be true.

You had no interest in the subject until you lost the little faith you allegedly had and you know it. You went looking for something else. You wanted the lie.

What lights govern night and day?

The sun and moon. When were they created and when were they made or arranged for their intended purpose? It's not the same.

No, it actually states an "Evening and morning of the first day." The days actually begin at night as per Jewish tradition.

What about the other two? There was more than evening and morning and who witnessed the first ones? It wasn't man. All covered in the link you said you'd read. Like the video you said you'd watch. Plus, if I say I worked the day shift in those days 6 days a week that's three different uses of the word day. A few hours, a literal 24-hour day and an indeterminate period of time in those days. The Bible uses the same. In Genesis 2:4 it says he created it all in one day. How long does the seventh day last? It is still going on today. And Judgment day? 1,000 years.

The firmament, this is not how you described it. The ancient Israelites thought there was water around the world above and beneath. The firmament keeps this water out.

Firmament is a Latin mistranslation. Or at least causes confusion The word is expanse. The birds fly in the expanse, the clouds float in the expanse. The solid dome wasn't something the ancient Jews thought existed. That was dark ages science.

Also what about Matthew 4:8? Is it possible to see "all nations of the earth" from a mountain? High place? From space even? The answer is no of course, you cannot see all parts of a sphere, actually oblate spheroid, from one point no matter where you are.

It wasn't talking just about the nations at that time. It was talking about all the nations of all time. Satan is the God of the world, all nations. It was metaphoric for the reader. Mountains are used figuratively in the Bible. The mountains often represented, among other things, nations. The anger of Jehovah against the nations would result in the blood of the slain melting the mountains. Like rain washing away the soil. (Isiah 34:1-3)

So, was Jesus having a vision there after fasting for 40 days? Were these literal nations? Literal mountains?

Wrong again, I frequently had discussions with my priest and teachers.
You wanted the lie.
What lie? What on earth are you talking about? Those discussions took place when I was in religious environment, a religious family, religious school with all my theist friends.
The period was 1976-1985 when I finished college (run by monks)
I did not know anything about Dawkins, Hitchens or YouTube internet or Bible scholarship. I just wanted know if the claims in the Bible were true.

When will your quest be finished? Or have you already found the answers you need? What difference does it make anyway?
If by the quest you mean education then it's never over. Could the quest take a turn and take me back to god? That is highly unlikely knowing what I know now.
I find it interesting as an academic subject, just like physics or any other topic.

But you believe in the big sky daddy who loves you but will send you to Hell if you don't make the right choices despite pitiful little evidence from the big sky daddy..

Really? Where in the Bible did you happen to see that? Speaking of evidence. Where is yours? I got a photograph. Would you like to see it?

Welcome to HELL

Good answer.

Could the quest take a turn and take me back to god? That is highly unlikely knowing what I know now.

As well as what you don't know.

I find it interesting as an academic subject, just like physics or any other topic.

Sure. I can dig it. You know, even then you're under no obligation. You could believe God to exist and still reject him.

I couldn't help but smile at the Red Guards of scientism doing what they do best: scoffing, ridiculing, and harassing ignoramuses who, unlike themselves, have no understanding of science . . .

Don't try to do science, you just lampoon yourself.

. . . and who cling to anachronistic beliefs. People like Revelation really need to keep up with the times.

And we've been laughing at people like you since fire was discovered. You have some catching up to do.

Bloody Neanderthals, eh? Thank heavens the Red Guards are here to educate him.

The sun rises from the east and sets in the west. Sorry if that confuses you. Like every damn thing else on the planet.

Yes, of course it does, along with other heavenly bodies which spin around us once every 24 hours . . . if you subscribe to a theory that was abandoned 400 years ago.

Yeah, I forgot that idiots rarely know how idiotic they are.

You took the words right out of my mouth!
