Why not admit it?
Let's face it: As a species, we're the nastiest, blood-thirstiest predator on the planet!
If it walks, crawls, flies, swims, or just sits there and grows, we'll kill it and try to eat it (maybe). Hell, we're so damned blood-thirsty that we'll create the damnedest reasons to kill our own to slake our thirst for blood: 'They don't look like us', 'they don't pray like us', 'three hundred and and fifty two years ago his great-great-great-great-etc. grandfather pissed on my great-etc. grandfather's grave'.
What's so difficult about recognizing ourselves for what we are? Maybe then we can try to be something different: human.
