So, what does gas cost in your area? For fun, state where you're from and the price. I will maintain a little chart up here with the prices. Quote in your own currency and in either liters or gallons, and I will do the conversion. :D

OK I should add, quote the cheapest and lowest octane in your area.

Swedishfish, where are you from?

$1.63 a gallon last time i checked. sure its back up to $1.79 though. oh yeah. detroit-ish michigan.

$1.90 per gallon for 87 octane

(Roseburg, Oregon, USA)
I would also like to include the tax in this area is 80 cents on the gallon. 50 cents for state and 30 for federal. That means the actual gas per gallon is $1.10. ("No New Taxes!!")

"it gets 44 hectares on 1 tank of kerosene....... put it in H!"-simpsons
Europeans and gas made me think of that quote:p

wow, That's cheap.. Where are you from, Wet1?

There's another place in Oregon where the town population is 18. When I was buying gas for 99 cents per gallon, it was $2 there. I can't imagine what it would be now.

you americans and associates are a bunch of crybabies. You get your gas almost for free and still it it too expensive for you...

i shall now put a smiley here ;) otherwise I am in trouble

i learned that from Dr Lou Natic. He is my shrink

No, I am well aware of the differences in gas prices between overseas and the US. A lot of the steep prices overseas is through government taxation. Something that is beginning to show up here. Here if the gas prices rise 20¢ people are moaning and groaning because they purchased the gas guzzlers. It was their choice what to buy for a vehicle. Now they pay the price and don't like it. What is wrong with this picture?

The gas was purchased in La. on my way to work.

Our gas price is the same as yours before taxes. ;)
