Game computer using a generator.

Not sure if this is appropriate but I am somewhat desperate.
Is there any way to use a petrol generator to run a gaming computer which probably draws 1000 watts (to much for the off grid system available) I am not sure if a 2 kva generator with a surge protector would do the job.
I need a quick cheap fix if possible.

In my opinion it should work, if the generator creates somewhat proper sine waves (which a mechanical generator should do nicely).
