It's an equation that lets you set a tax rate that gets as much money, and is progressive as you want, by just changing three variables. No fretting over where to set which tax bracket; that does it all for you.

It is very hard in practice, since so many Americans are innumerate, and want more social services and less taxes, and believe politicians when they say their party will do that for them while reducing the deficit.

Parts made in China could be assembled in the states, or parts made in the states could be assembled in China. These new manufacturing facilities could be utilized to help us pay down our deficit and add new jobs to American workers and would help increase economic security for both The United States and China. It would likewise help secure or relations with. Automotives isn't the only industry this can be accomplished with, but it is one of them. Taxes are only a small fraction of the solution to dealing with our deficit.
I once made brake hoses for Toyota, which were later shipped to assembly lines in other states. We also made other parts for Toyota. There's a lot of parts to an automobile, which equates to a lot of job positions ...
