Giant Insect Seen on Passenger Flight

Flight X. A giant beetle. Its green shiny body opened up to show a pair of four feet veiny wings, flapping up and down at an incredibly slow speed.

That’s what Marco Gessati, a 32-year-old doctor, said he and about ten other people saw during a flight from Rome to Boston. For privacy reasons, the flight number and the airline have been omitted. Let’s just name it “Flight X.”

“I know it’s hard to believe,” explained Gessati, loudly over the phone with a strong Italian accent. “I know what I saw, you know? I have never seen anything like this. Big, big insect. Out of this world.” He had finally agreed to a phone interview after a copious e-mail correspondence. But there was too much information to be shared and he had something else to share with me: Sketches of the creature. We decided to meet at a restaurant in Boston.

Totally believable. Unidirectional air flow to it’s trachea adaptation. The red veins is interesting because this suggests it has changed from green copper-rich fluid to hemoglobin based. These are the UFOs responsible for cat and cattle mutilations. It’s these that have evolved into Mothman-type entities. Fantastic details. Thanks for sharing.

Other passengers were also drawing the giant flying insect.
The best representation was in oil paint, but it can't be released as it is not dry yet.

This insect has evolved jet-powered flight. It's trachea tubes are not dead-ended like all other known insects but straight tubes which go through from the one end to it the other. Not only does this vastly increase oxygen uptake efficiency but the unidirectional flow allows for pressurization during this process, so that the air can be expelled at a much greater velocity than it's entry speed.

Wow

It's rounded shape and beetle-like features fit with the numerous UFO sightings of metallic looking 'ships'.

It is significant that the police and medical examiners were convinced the holes found in the head, arms, stomach, anus and legs were not produced by bullet wounds. What is most disturbing about the anal incision and the extraction of anal and digestive tract tissue is that it is a carbon copy of the surgery seen in so many UFO-related animal mutilation cases. While no evidence linking the Guarapiranga reservoir mutilation case with UFOs has been found, Brazilian ufologists and police have hinted that there may be at least a dozen or more cases similar to this one. In fact, Brazil has had past incidents where UFOs have reportedly attacked people, and possibly taking blood from them. The July 12, 1977 edition of the JORNAL DA BAHIA reported that, "A fantastic story of a flying object emitting a strong light and sucking blood from people, circulated from mouth to mouth among the population of the counties of Braganca, Vizeu and Augusto Correa in Para', where many people fear leaving their homes during the night so they won't get caught by the vampire-like light from the strange object which, according to information, already has caused the death of two men. No one knows how the story started, but the truth is that it reached Bele'm and grabbed headlines in the local newspapers."

Months later, on October 8, the newspaper O LIBERAL launched the first in a series of reports, about the Chupa-Chupa (suck-suck) phenomenon. "Sucking animal attacks men and women in the village of Vigia: A strange phenomenon has been occurring for several weeks in the village of Vigia, more exactly in the Vila Santo Antonio do Imbituba about 7 kilometers from highway PA-140, with the appearance of an object which focus a white light over people, immobilizing them for around an hour, and sucks the breasts of the women leaving them bleeding. The object, known by the locals as "Bicho Voador" (Flying Animal), or "Bicho Sugador" (Sucking Animal), has the shape of a rounded ship and attacks people in isolation. One of the victims, among many in the area, was Mrs. Rosita Ferreira, married, 46 years old, resident of Ramal do Triunfo, who a few days ago was sucked by the light on the left breast, and passed out. Increasingly it looked like she was dealing with a nightmare, feeling as if there were some claws trying to hold her. She was attacked around 3:30 in the morning. Another victim was the lady known as "Chiquita," who was also sucked by the strange object with her breast becoming bloody, but without leaving any marks."

Marco Gessati is an intelligent man. Why anyone would make up something like this is beyond me, specially when the story comes from a doctor. I wasn’t able to contact other witnesses from Flight X.

What doesn’t make any sense is, according to the gigantism-oxygen relationship theory, the higher you go up in the atmosphere, the less oxygen there is. How could a big bug like that survive the high altitude levels? Could it be some of the giant insects living during the Carboniferous period survived extinction? Maybe they evolved at a fast pace and were able to adapt to the decreasing oxygen levels present in today’s atmosphere? But if this was true, where do they live? In caves? Up in the mountains?

Gremlins have been reported throughout war and peace. True or fiction, there are reports all over the world that speak of these creatures.

Do you believe Dr Gessati’s testimony?

The high kicking legs are evidence that it was a giant girl insect, straight from Paris.
It is clearly performing the Can-Can.
What a beautiful sight, seeing it dancing on the wing of a passenger aircraft.
No wonder the passengers all got their drawing pads out.

You DO realize the kind of thermal reaction needed to achieve such powerful jet propulsion don't you? What would keep this bug from burning up or possibly even being exploded from the inside pressures? I don't know WHAT those passengers actually saw. I chalk it up to one of those fortean interdimensional quirks. Like fish falling from a clear blue sky after the sound of an electrical zap. Maybe sometimes preternatural critters fall into our dimension thru randomly opening/closing portals. Who knows? It's interesting in any case..

Fantastic image MR! Like it.

You raise some interesting points. Let's not underestimate the power of nature and evolution. The cold air flow over the body and through it would provide a perfect heat sink.

They saw what they said they saw. A giant metallic-looking perfectly round bug, that if seen from a distance would resemble a metallic craft.

I just had the thought that the "sea serpent" seen at very close range by the crew of HMS Daedalus is most likely to be the aquatic nymph of a giant flying insect. This nymph was reported to be around 60 feet long. This original paper is amazing in the details of a kind of mane behind the head, Nessie-like, as well as no fins or undulations. It propelled itself in a perfectly straight which fits with the jet-powered trachea idea.
