Ive been getting alot of glitches with the forum today.

When ever I try to post or edit a post I get a screen that says this-

There seems to have been a slight problem with the sciforums.com database.
Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.
An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.

We apologise for any inconvenience.
(the link for to email technical staff is blank as well)

If im persistent i will get the your post as now been added screen.
Also sometimes when I get that message my post is posted anyways. Sometimes not though.(which causes the occasional double post)

Also sometimes I'll post a reply to a thread yet the thread won't surface to the top or show that i'm the last one to reply even though my post is there. Like this thread.
http://sciforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11744&perpage=20&pagenumber=3

Even though I posted a reply it looks from the thread overview that spooky is the last to reply and it didnt surface to the top. I deleted my disk and memory cache and refreshed the screen countless times and it doesnt make a difference.

Things should be fixed now. It seems the search index table was damaged somehow. So, for the moment, you won't be able to search the forums until I rebuild the table. Everything else should be working normally.

Happy Thanksgiving,
Dave

What? Is it thanksgiving day in never never land or something?

or canada, maybe :D

Porfiry, there were also a few problems with how the forums displayed most recently replied to topics (which ones were at the top) and displaying properly in a forum list who last replied to X topic.

That's it! I'm going to throw snowballs at the American border in protest of this blatant anti-Canadian rhetoric!

You Yanks best watch it, or we'll send our dog-sled special-forces after you!!!!!
