Yes its sad and very true. Scifi has decided not to pick up farscape for a 5th season. But you can help save it. We've only got about a week before they start tearing down the sets and its gone forever. You can send letters to:

Hope is not lost click here for the latest news. and here for contact information. As said by David Kemper the lead writer and everything "Hope is not lost" and that "scifi channel is talking" but we still need to keep sending letters and faxes and emails and everything. Keep up the pressure scapers.

Us scapers have got scifi channel mad, we werent suppose to find out about its cancellation until after season 4 was over and it was to late. But we found before they did and they were a bit embarresed and had to have a emergency press release.

They also lied about ratings. The ratings (reported by scifi channel 2 weeks ago) said that viewership for that show was up 26% and that farscape would return for a 5th and 6th season. But then all of a sudden they said that ratings were too low and that they were canceling it for that reason. Click here for all the articles that you could ever want.

Look in variety magazine this thursday for a special ad placed by Ben Brouder and the scapers.
 
What a brilliant move. Cancel the top rated show on the network. I wish i had half the brain power of the genius who made that move. WHAT THE HELL ARE THOSE MORONS THINKING! NOT ONLY IS IT THE ONLY DECENT SHOW ON THE CHANNEL ITS MY FAVORITE SHOW THAT IS CURRENTLY RUNNING (correction: was currently running)
 
So Farscape has been officially cancelled and theres no hope of it coming back, doesnt mean im still not a fan of it. Im starting a new thread....
 
Believe me Pollux I am, Im writing and everything...Im probably praying as hard as all those old Trekkies did to save ST TOS way back in the 60s
 
Look what happened with star trek, though in the end. They made a bunch of great movies and had a spin off that was arguably better than the original. Maybe this is...what Farscape needs, to get pop culture icon status rather than underground cult. I did send them a long email.
 
Ive been writing snailmails, from my understandings they listen to those better then they do emails....Im not writing to scifi channel anymore im writing to UPN and such to pick up farscape, hopefully.
 
Well, unfortunately the show has jumped the shark (it started when Zan left, though it was still tolerable up until they blew up the command carrier). Without a Big Bad to worry about (Crayce or Scorpius), this season has pretty much been Lost in Space -- every episode they encounter new aliens who do oogy things to them for no particular reason.

I suspect Sci-fi knew they have a dead parrot on their hands. Unfortunately, without Farscape, the SciFi Channel is going to be reduced to running the same dreary horror flicks and reruns that they picked up at some $5.00/tape garage sale and have been running every holiday weekend since before the memory of man.

Now we have to pray that Firefly is as good as advertised because most other space shows suck (Andromeda, Enterprise, etc.).

Let's examine your statement:

I guess thats why they said that this was THE BEST season ever. And its spelled Zhaan not Zan, your fahrbot.

Okay it got a 1.5 in the nielsons, anything above a .8 on cable is considered good, so its not a "Dead parrot".

Okay are we watching the same show here?! Have you not heard of Grayza?! I mean what the frell are you talking about. OH and its spelled Crais, not Crayce, please WATCH the show before you knock it.

I would figure that running around in space that that would happen A LOT! And most of the aliens do "oogy" things because theres a bounty on the crew. Thats why aliens do "oogy" things. Plus your dealing with different cultures, you forget that thats normal for most of them, not all aliens are just like Earth, matter-a-fact they dont even say "Earth" right they normally say "Earp".

So in chi's words, "FRELL YOU!"

In Johns "You have got to be kidding me?!"

So if your going to say that this show has jumped the shark or it sucks I suggest that you take a closer look and actually watch the show you frelling frell head, go frell yourself!

I'm not sure you understand "jump the shark", It does not mean
that the show "sucked". And one of us appears to be slightly
over-consumed by this show... and surely it ain't me - ya know?

That said, I'm glad I was here to help you vent your spleen.
