Bash The Neilsons! Weeeee!

Farscape is ending *Cries so loud and long that I fall asleep crying*

What is wrong with this world? How could such a bad as show be canceled? STUPID RATING SYSTEM! RAR!

Any guesses on how their going to end this wonderful series?
Personally, I like the last episode alot.... "Because Im an American..." Lol that was funny and this one too

I love the humor the worked into John Crichtons character... really great

Also, Farscape was nominated for three Saturns (The SciFi version of the Golden Globes/Emmy's) Farscape has won about six or seven saturns, and a few Hugos to.

Yea, what bearing at all does the neilsons have on actuall ratings. I mean they could be rating 10,000 people and it just so happens that the ones they pick all hate SciFi. So what then? lol

It sucks! I have to DL every single episode using DC++. There are a few people who have done it already... just takes up a lot of space.

If this about the nielsons, then your fine. Bash away!

Actually certain demographics are left out of the nielsons. College students (People who are 18-22 in college) are not counted. The nielsons normally try to get a full family (Husband, Wife, Son, Daughter). So single parents are left out, and people who live alone are left out... THe nielsons are horrible and have come under fire recently. This is not the first time that its happend.

There used to be this show that nobody watched (Or so they thought) I think it was called StarTrek. When it finally went into syndication, it did very well for the time period. Now StarTrek reruns on Scifi channel still catch them a 1.4 in the nielsons (I think).

The old reruns of Babylon 5 used to get a 1.7. Scifi just likes to buy shows that already have a built in audience so they can avoid all the work of creating a decent series *coughSG1cough*. Now, Im not complaing about SG1. I love it, just not as much as I love Farscape.

Let's take into account how scifi killed Farscape:

  • Farscape was moved from 8PM to 11PM. Most of the younger viewers were either out, or in bed.
  • Scifi never showed reruns of Farscape, ever. They did it for one whole month, and thats when I started watching. (Hint to scifi show the reruns after farscape is off the air)
  • Scifi skipped out on advertising Farscape, a lot.
  • Farscape complained that they didn't have enough money. But brought things like: Taken, All the back episodes of the X-Files, SG1, Tremors the Series, a bunch (Seven I think) of crappy scifi movies that they made.
  • Oh and need I forget that they said "Oh, were giving you another season ." But then cancelled it, didn't tell anybody, but Ben Browder (John) and David Kemper told fans in an internet chat room. Thats right folks, scifi wasnt going to tell us until it was to late.

Now, it appears that scifi channel will be showing reruns of farscape. At 12PM at night.

Scifi channel can join all the rest of the channels that I dont watch after Farscape is off. If I want to watch SG1, I'll buy the DVD sets.
