Leap - are we happy he knows what that is? That scientific papers do not tend to use this language?

I think he’s psychiatric. It’s a sort of obsessive word salad, focused around Rømer and “real time”, plus a chippy wish to invent a S Indian alternative version of science.
He can’t hold up one end of a discussion, or even answer questions put to him. Waste of time.

In the first few pages of Kermos' thread, he was at least able to keep the streetcar wheels on the tracks, even if the streetcar itself was headed for The Land of Unicorns and Rainbows. Here, jalaldn doesn't even know the streetcar has wheels. There isn't even a place to begin engaging with him.

No. Electricity can't transmit energy faster than light. You must be confused.
It isn't, so there's no need to worry yourself about that.

His first post came off the tracks, went through some bushes, into the park and knocked over two nuns who were feeding the ducks.

I actually started gentle but he immediately started being a prick.
He claimed "Off topic," with things he raised. I cannot believe he is the same age as me.
How on earth do you get through that much life avoiding knowledge, reason?
Yet manage to bathe all that ignorance in a breathtaking arrogance?
Write 4 u was not like that, he had a vulnerability, a sweetness to him but he wanted to know things, he just didn't know how to do it.
This guy is like Trek, he knows.

I PMd him now again and he was such sweetheart, a real gent. A softie compared to his normal humourous and sometimes sardonic persona. It's in announcements, his son used his login.
