Are we nothing more than energy expressing itself as an individual? This goes with the idea that we do not have a life, but are life itself.
No. This is just meaningless woo. I’m sorry but this kind of talk really annoys me.Are we nothing more than energy expressing itself as an individual? This goes with the idea that we do not have a life, but are life itself.
No. "m" means mass, not matter. But I admit this is something of a popular misconception so you are not alone.Isn't matter energy?
E=MC2
This goes with the idea that we do not have a life, but are life itself.

It is obvious that life is energy. There should be no argument. It is demonstrated daily all around us.What exchemist said View attachment 6607
This is philosophy so not my bag (like politics unless that involves Trump, WW3 and creationism)
"life" is kind of messy like the rest of biology, sure you can give some definitions but when you are talking about microbes, viruses those definitions break down and you get grey areas.
Energy, entropy, quantum get used in a way that is completely divorced from science. "Organic" is another one, best to steer clear.
"Life is energy," is a vague and pretty meaningless statement. Does the sea have energy? The moon?It is obvious that life is energy. There should be no argument. It is demonstrated daily all around us.![]()
It's not meaningless. It's not vague. Your post is an example of that energy. You are an expression of life itself. Thank you. And yes, the waves on the surface of the sea are energy. As for the moon, she regulates the tides of the sea."Life is energy," is a vague and pretty meaningless statement. Does the sea have energy? The moon?
Everything in the universe has energy therefore and yet everything we see beyond our planet has no life.It's not meaningless. It's not vague. Your post is an example of that energy. Energy and life are not synonyms an are not extricable linked. The moon is dead but is motion in orbit around our planet so therefore has velocity, /angular momentum.It's not meaningless. It's a big Universe. Heck, it's a big galaxy.Everything in the universe has energy therefore and yet everything we see beyond our planet has no life.
Yeah there may be life out there and I suspect there is. My point is life is not necessarily connected with energy.It's a big Universe. Heck, it's a big galaxy.
We disagree on the point of life and energy. I need to refuel with some pancakes, butter, and syrup. Catch ya later.Energy and life are not synonyms an are not extricable linked. The moon is dead but is motion in orbit around our planet so therefore has velocity, /angular momentum.

We disagree on the point of life and energy.... life is not necessarily connect with energy.
You are quoting from a crap source then. The first part is correct but then whoever wrote it goes off the rails by conflating mass with matter and talking crap. Can you provide a link so I can see what you are quoting from?Curiosity sent me to Google...
"While Einstein's famous equation, E=mc², demonstrates the equivalence of mass and energy, matter and energy are distinct concepts, not the same thing, but they are related and can be converted into each other. "
I had to convert some matter into energy (breakfast).You might as well disagree with which end of the egg should be cracked.
Where I come from, philosophical discussion is just a skosh more complex than a word salad deepity generator:
var words = ["Life", "Energy", "Vitality", "Nature", "The cosmos"];
while true (
print ("<b>" + words[int(random()*5)+1] + " is " + words[int(random()*5)+1] + "!</b>");
}
Life is Energy!
Nature is Vitality!
The cosmos is Life!

It was the result from a search on Google. I'll try to repeat it. Hold on.You are quoting from a crap source then. Can you provide a link so I can see what you are quoting from?
That statement is garbage. How can a system "be" a property of a system?I had to convert some matter into energy (breakfast).
The universe is energy. Why not life? Life is a product of this universe.
