Dropped tablet, JavaScript damage, less participating for a bit

Just letting folks know, my main device, a Lenovo tablet is glitchy following impact on a hard floor. I've managed to get some things working, but it required a factory wipe, so I'm running on a seven year old software build now, and device can't seem to run some scripts or access any updates to the browser or system. ANYONE WHO ALSO HANGS AT THE SF DOT NET, I can't post there at all, as entering text in the editor window is impossible, hamburger menu is dead, and several other buttons also. Will reply to posts when I can. Pinball, I was able to open your message over there - welcome!

OK sorry to hear about the accident and will look to resumption of normal service in due course.
 
"I dropped my tablet and broke the website's menu and text editor." is a about the weirdest thing I've heard this week.
 
Weirdest thing I've experienced with a tablet, will say that. After some trouble obtaining an updated chrome version (it kept saying I wasn't on a network, then somehow went ahead and provided the update after I left it sitting all day), everything seems to be running and I got control of my clipboard back.

A possibly stupid theory (this thread can be moved to computer forum) is that the tablet fell screen-down, this somehow pushed a whole bunch of buttons at once, which caused the OS to shit itself but without any hardware damage. (Everything on the screen was projected backwards right after the drop, but the haptics were not reversed so you had to read a button backwards, then push your finger down on the other side of the screen at the same distance from the margin - this was what needed the full wipe to get rid of)

I drink and post sometimes so my tablet has picked up some injuries here and there.
Cracked screen at the top and more recently a dodgy headphones input.
It is still going though.
I think I have the same device as you @Vat so hang in there.
