A baby's mind is barely even aware of their surroundings, so the issue of intelligence cant even be addressed.

I was told however by a neurologist that the brains of adults shrink progressively as they age, so that may explain why genius is usually manifested in youth.

The problem with this research is that the "Culture" factor is very hard to isolate from the race factor. This takes it right back to the "nature or nurture" question which is an area of active debate. If no conclusions can be drawn regarding the latter, it follows for the former.

If there were many aspects of shared culture then the inference would be a bit more reasonable to accept. The fact is that the world is just now becoming globalised, where one can begin to say there is an emerging shared culture. I mean what test do you use to evaluate the IQ of a Sub-Saharan African? There are just too many barriers. The background of those creating the test will immediately introduce a bias prior to any results.

These studies are way before their time (if there can ever be such a time). There are too many social factors at play to allow for a clear indication that skin colour determines intelligence.

While I have no issues accepting the results of the IQ test(s), the inferences drawn lack a credible basis - i.e. genetic evidence. Genetic evidence is what would vindicate Watson's views as being of substance. There is zero genetic evidence supporting the theory purporting genes that separate us into different races as linked to those which determine our intelligence.

Yes, and its the same with a century of prejudice towards Orientals and Jews, in spite of which they have done very well...both on intelligence tests and academically.

Interesting. And is there any genetic evidence to show that, say, humans are more intelligent than gorillas or apes? But we all pretty much accept that gorillas and apes aren't as intelligent as humans, right? Why? Why would we accept that theory when there's no genetic evidence?

We accept that because there are clear indicators that they lack what we consider to be qualities of superior intelligence.

Can they build a complex machine such as the Space Shuttle and send it up into Space with a myriad other complex tools to study their world and origins? Rhetorical question isn't it?

Now it would seem that your questions above were intended to be rhetorical, but clearly, they would be, only to you in this dialogue.

So, regarding the black vs. white race (other races can be considered too but this is addressing Dr Watson) intelligence issue, what clear indicators are there, that would evidence qualities of superior intelligence in the average white human, as opposed to the average black human (or any other race)?

What has the white race of humans done, that is demonstrably not achievable by the race of black humans living today?

Give one or a few examples and we'll progress from there - and please, be serious.

I think most of the blacks in Africa are too busy making babies that they can't feed, or killing those who've grown up somehow. They don't have time for such things as building space vessels or other such silly stuff as that. :D

If you look at the history of the african continent since "colonialisation" was phased out, they cannot and do not know how to govern. Most of these tinpot african leaders are only clever enough to know what is in it for them.

Swiss banks must have billions hidden away, billions in the names of despots, dictators and corrupt politicians from most african countries.

Not only do they not know how to govern, but even how to live alongside one another. Every second of every day murder and bloodshed is the name of the game somewhere in africa. This with weapons supplied by unscrupulous countries who have a vested interest in mayhem and anarchy.

No, the african is not "intelligent" in that respect. Sod the ballot box, where's me machete!!

And the thick, idiotic western countries who continue to bolster these corrupt governments for whatever reason by send billions in aid that is ill advised and unaffordable.
 
Do you forget a little something called World War Two, which caused the death of over 50million people? No, white people have no claim to superiority on the subject of peace and good governance.
