I think it does, this is the subforum that gets the most cesspool to be threads, many of these threads need to be closed and deleted first.

"Free thoughts" are just that. A forum for members to post any off topic subjects that can't be posted elsewhere.

Why don't you go back to your socialist forum and ban more republicans.

howard is that you? :D I don't banish people by the way.

Off topic threads are fine but when they get gross and valgur its time for them to be closed or deleted, some of them might be able to live a little while longer in hte cesspool. But keeping Free Thought clean of that kind of kind of crap is needed.

I voted yes. This site needs a porn forum as well. Gay porn. Lesbian porn. Goat porn. My porn. Regular porn. Ugly porn. Baked beans porn. Wet porn. Shaving porn. Cat porn. And my favorite kind of porn: A female version of Megaman that's pregnant (I call her Proto-Mama).

I suppose every forum with a moderator is one less that a certain overactive individual (although seemingly not of late) might poke his smelly nose into.

So, even though the prospect of overmoderation is anathema to me, maybe it would be a good idea to set clear boundaries for our moderators by having more moderators. Thus not having wide tracts of open land in which they might graze freely. Next, we need to start branding them and cutting off testicles.

Rocky mountain oysters, anyone? :D

One thing needed in a Free Thoughts moderator would be leniency. Remember, it is FREE THOUGHTS. I've seen many threads moved to the cesspool that didn't necessarily deserve it. And I've seen threads that stayed in Free Thoughts that were totally cesspool material.

A Free Thoughts mod should have an open mind and a thick skin.

Free Thoughts have sucked lately anyway. For the most part.

its not really essential, i havent seen a single flame war in free thoughts ever, but there is alot of junk in there. if soemoen wants a thread in the cesspool, they usually post it in free thoughts

ill do it. ^its all me foo's.
you know its true ;)
ill kick ass, and no chance of overmoderation. and leniency, my second name is (nearly) leniency. :D.

So, you're prepared to be the first to put his testicles on the chopping block then? A role model for the other moderators? Brave, brave man thou art.

I'm starting to not like the idea my self: I want a mean moderator that will not just move things to the cesspool, but will close threads then move them to the cesspool, but now I feel that is unlikely to happen and most likely person to get elected for moderator might even be the kind of person that makes cesspool threads!

I suppose that there would be some people fit for moderating free thoughts in the way you think appropriate.

I would also agree that many threads deserve to be closed and immediately transferred to the cesspool. I think a moderator should still be installed, at least, it cannot get worse.

as a way of teaching people not to intentionally make cesspool threads.

I'm not sure if there even is a nomination going on, but just in case, I nominate myself too.

This is a good idea to have a mod for Free Thought.

The results of this poll come nowhere near the quorum number. I guess there's not much interest in having a moderator for Free Thoughts.
