Look, I'm not sure, bit of a closed shop. But from what I can gather, pretty similar.

CPR does NOT treat a cardiac arest, all it does is hopefully maintain oxygen to the heart and brain untill the pt can be defribulated or given adrenilin

and on the same subject, the chances of surviving an unwitnessed (by paramedics) out of hospital cardiac arest in Australia (because the temp matters) is 2%

Best thing you can do is be in hospital when it happens so when you start feeling that first twinge in your chest or jaw call an ambulance
