OK, jokes aside, if homosexuality is an uncurable condition and society accepts it, why can't society look at pedophilia the same way?

Not necesserily accepting it, but accepting the fact that it is an uncurable menthal condition, illness if you wish. Thus a pedophile should be treated professional menthal healthcare ppeople....
 
I certainly don't think a distinction can be drawn between pedophilic urges and homosexual urges.
The distinction arises when pedophiles have sex with children, while homosexuals have sex with consenting adults.
Homosexuals like genji who prefer their male partners unwilling (or straight) are no different to pedophiles.
Heterosexual rapists are also no better than pedophiles.

People with pedophilic urges, the ones who really only find children sexually attractive, should be pitied.
That would suck, let's face it.
It is never acceptable for them to gratify themselves sexually.

Such is the dilemma of dysgenics.
I don't think we can blame the individuals born with these urges, we can only blame the processes which allowed them to come into being.
 
i almost voted for "yes" just to get people wondering who it was.....then i realized that zenbabelfish would most likely follow suit, given the anonymous nature of the poll.

Hmm? Don't you think it's "accepted" in the same way as homosexuals?

It seems to me that society views both conditions as an "illness" ...it's the ACTS of either that seems to disgust society, not the "illness" itself.

A person can be homo or peadophile and get along well in society ....as long as no one knows about the condition or illness. The way society discovers the condition or illness is usually through the acting out of their desires.

What a ridiculous question. Anyone that says YES will be dragged off by the authorities. How can I know who is a pedo without them holding a sign announcing it? I'm sure many of them are good people, they just have that hidden secret. Maybe never even acted upon it but it's there. In many cultures and in some Euro countries sex with young teens and even younger is celebrated. Sure, a person that rapes a child should be punished, even more harshly than one that rapes an adult. But how many of us have committed that act? Break it down into per capita numbers. Is the hysteria really necessary? In a country of 300 million there will be wicked crimes. Local news stations luring people into committing a crime for ratings is what keeps the witch hunt alive.
 


i'm still amazed at how many evil people there are in society, any society. they are not all pedophiles either; they support them indirectly. i was flabberghasted when friends or acquaintances of my abusers just ignored or considered abuse/pedophilia irrevelant to the point they continued to even still be friends with them. it wasn't just one time, it was a social theme as it that was normal.

the most sinister part was the unspoken attitude as if they were making an excuse for the abuse and the victim is obscure and unimportant like there is a rank in whether someone deserves humanity. i remember telling a family friend and he just shrugged and became irritated as if i should be ashamed for even bringing it to light or upsetting the apple cart. they were a yuppie white couple, liberals and were atheist/agnostics so it's not just christians/republicans who are immoral or amoral. the very same people who in public if questioned as to their opinion of pedophilia, abuse, molestation, rape etc would give the obligatory pc response of condemning it for social approval. oh sure, it's horrible, wrong etc. how sneaky and manipulative people are.

some of my extended family knew and my aunt and uncle just looked at me like 'sorry for you but hush' and then turned around and were even nicer to the pedophile, even sitting on the floor looking up to him asking the 'preacher' for life advice. wtf?!

these people are just your everyday respectable citizens, not designated creeps or 'bad' or 'weird' people. well, i could tell they weren't that good but for how general society rates and discerns people, very typical. they have wives/husbands, children, family, friends, profession and acceptable/normal social standing.

it truly is disgusting and even frightening to know how corrupt society is and how many people are just pretending to be good people. that's not the surreal part; they are believed as they are society.

all these people who supposedly are of the successful and respectable majority of society. it's revolting and infuriating.

and i'm the loser? they aren't fit to wipe the shit off the bottom of my shoes!!!

i have to agree with the point that all are grouped together under a single swathe and that is unfair to some. this is because one can be a registered sex offender for being a young kid having sex with another just a few or couple years younger as well as it being consensual while the most heinous sex offenders go unpunished. the most evil ones are sadistic and their motive behind sexual abuse is to degrade/humiliate and dehumanize their victim. that argument that it's about attraction is not true. they are attracted to destroy or corrupt. however, not all who fall under the stigma or banner of sexual offenders are this evil. their are gradients and some are worse human beings than others.

but there are variants and not all registered sex offenders are equal or as dangerous. it just infuriates me that the worst scums of humanity often get away with it while those who are not as malicious or perverted are stigmatized the most and end up paying heavier penalties. this world is so unfair and backwards just as society is full of lies and imposters.

some of these people who aren't even that bad such as the 21 year old guy who ended up having sex with a 15 year old who may have looked older or well developed as well it being consensual (if the story is true and things like that do happen) has that mark on his record for the rest of his life while my stepfather who purposely and premeditatively scouted my mother because she had a daughter for the purpose of exploitation never served a day in jail or prison as well as doesn't have a sexual predator record. it's not just that but so evil and abusive all around, very sadistic, manipulative, extremely perverted and entitled to the point he had a god complex. honestly, there is not a hell bad enough for people like that. it wasn't because he suffered, it was because he was grossly spoiled, constantly got his way which produces horribly inhumane and selfish people.

it really makes one angry at how pervertedly wrong the world is.
