Easiest way that I've found if spell checker argues (short of opening up a word processor) is to enter it in Google.
If it's spelt wrong Google asks "Did you mean...?"
 
When in doubt, compare it to other, similar words like inflatable. Even words with a different vowel, such as excitable, computable and quotable, provide solid evidence.

Thank You for the help guys. My chrome spell check caught it so i figured i'd ask here.

Fraggle, what amazes me is that i am well read, and i would spell those words you posted with an "e". What puzzles me is that i read voraciously and for some reason never recall seeing those words you posted spelt that way. I know you are correct and the other's are all in agreement...but this is very odd. Was I seeing what i wanted to see? Omitting what i never thought was there because i took it for granted? Did i block out the "e" as though it was invisible?

How about shamefull?

I wonder if this is some form of sublimation, on my part. LOL, sublimation. Thats the best term i can come up with for it.
 
LOL...I'm not that old. Seriously, i have never seen those words spelled the other way or i would have picked it up...most likely.

Also, be sure to check out "relateable" in my link. Chrome is flagging it and my link says it is correct.
