Cryptozoology News (Don't Kill Me!)

Here's a weird... something... that a remote controlled research submersible found on the ocean floor. It looks like a purple sphere with bumps on it. They watched as a crab kicked it, then sucked it into a container with a suction tube and returned it to the surface.

Early speculation was that it might be an egg-sac or a larval form of something, but the C-net story suggests that it might be a hitherto unknown kind of nudibranch, (a mollusc resembling a sea-slug) often noted for bright colors and weird shapes. (Doesn't look like a nudibranch to me.)
