What are good countries to work in? I have a few opportunities to work in another country and would like some input on the countries. The countries are:

UK
Sweden
USA (will be way harder to get a job but i should be able to get one)

Well, they have loads of good companies and are very efficient. Plus, its a nice country

Did a small check and so far it doesn't seem i'm not needed in Germany there is a position for me in Swiss though

If you head to the US, make for a big city (NYC, Chicago, LA). They always have tons of jobs availible. I think awhile ago New York had the best economy city-wise on the planet, maybe second to Hong Kong or Shang-Hai.

You might want to take unemployment rates into consideration as well.

Peace.

What do you do for a living? Seems like that would have a bearing on where you choose to work.

I work in Telecom, the reason i mentioned those countries is cause in those countries there is work for me :) And i think the living standard is rather nice in those countries (well perhaps sweden is a bit too cold for me)

I am in telecom also. I would guess unemployment in telecom in US is like 50% !!!

you do need a work permit to work in the us.. i tried to get one but it's hopeless! 1st you need a job there in order to get a work permit, but companies don't want you unless you already have a work permit. :(

You tried it already? You wouldn't happen to have a few sites with some nice info on it would you?

well i went to the US embassy in my country to talk about work permits and emigration and things like that, so that's probably the best for you too. they gave me a whole lot of information.

With the poor economy right now, it is hard to get a company to hire you if you live out of state, let alone out of country (in the US). A lot of job postings these days say 'local candidates only'.

I some adds where it didn't matter wheter or not you were from the US :) But UK and Sweden are also still available. Prolly UK first since i speak english but not swedish.

It is always possible to learn Swedish. As a lot of Swedish people do speak English and learned to do so. Why shouldn't you be able to learn Swedish..? :)

Yes I did. Isn't it a great language? A beautiful country too. And no, I am not from Sweden. :) I come from The Netherlands... :)
