ChatGPT is a gibbering idiot (this is not news)

Trusting them? Some people trust the news, I don't see the danger in ChatGPT/scholargpt and concensus.
In post 96, ChatGPT appears to have invented faster than light travel on the order of 50x the speed of light.

Are you comfortable with it managing your stock port folio and your tax returns? How about driving your car?

So the 50 light year trip is traversed by a spaceship in 1.045 years.

ChatGPT just invented faster than light travel.

The prosecution rests.

I haven't got a clue if it's correct or not, do you know an AI that you can use to answer that question correctly?

No chance, not for me. Maybe in next generation.

How do you see the future of AI?

I would guess a true Turing worthy AI would point out that there's a stretch in the middle of each leg of the journey when there is zero acceleration because you are rotating the ship 180 degrees and adjusting your particle shield so that your thrusters can begin deceleration. And you will be very near c in that turnaround period. So it would affect your total time answer.

Some great tribute songs for various artists which are really creative. If used correctly(like the internet) it will enrich peoples lives, it's still early but it'll get there pretty soon in my opinion.
If you read the thread you will see some sort of consensus that it can work well as a search engine, provided it gives you the references of the sources it is using in its answers, so that you can read them for yourself.

There does not have to be any turnaround at all, let alone a delay. Put rockets on both ends.

This is a straight up calculation. You can always add details to make a better story but this is not a story, this is a thought experiment.

It's excellent to help you design games, then it does a decent job of coding. I've been nothing but impressed with it, but I haven't been using it for things like, is your body a universe or along those lines.
If you ask it a question like "Is my body a universe" it will likely first look at the poetic and philosophical ideas that might lead to it. It will likely claim that biologically, no, one's body is not a universe. BUT, and I haven't tried this, if you start talking to it and explain your ideas, it won't really ever disagree with you, and will try to see how what you say could be reasonable. If you even ask it to provide an argument to support the body being a literal universe, then it will, or at least as best it can.
The problem with it all, though, is that it has zero comprehension. It doesn't know if what it is saying is correct, only that it makes syntactic sense, and is based on its algorithm for words that follow other words in the given context. Yeah, I've simplified it, obviously, but my point is that it should never be relied on as the arbiter of truth, only for helping exploring things.

It's a great search engine, and it has never let me down. In my body is a universe thread, the AI could of easily been checked, the thinking does exist in taoism and gnostic thought. Look or ask AI for a list of works related to this area. It is far from an idiot when it comes to most creative really, pursuits. I don't want a negative AI (Marvin) or no personallity. I must admit since I subscribed I've hardly used it.

Google.

Example.

In Taoism, the human body is viewed as a microcosm, a miniature of the universe. This perspective suggests that the body is not separate from the cosmos but rather a reflection of it, with internal organs and energies mirroring the larger universe and its processes

One fact checked.

No, Gnosticism does not believe the body is a universe. Gnostics generally viewed the physical body as a prison or a shell that imprisons the true self (the divine spark or spirit). They saw the material world, including the human body, as created by an imperfect, lower god (the Demiurge) and distinct from the true, transcendent God

ChatGP had other ideas according to google AI!

Yes, chatbots are great search engines for finding information And great for inspiration for games or stories.

Pretty terrible at producing answers. Anything it produces needs to get fact-checked. And if can fact-check it why do you need it in the first place?

I noticed it's good for coding too, you can write nearly a full app on an iphone using ChatGPT. I'm surprised it couldn't figure out a math problem.
