Chart Recorder

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about chart recorders? We are about to buy a new one at our lab and I'm torn between Strip Chart and XY Recorder. We mostly do pressure and temperature tests for new products, such as children's toys. Please help D:

Why wouldn't just buy some software to record and give a real time readout of what you are monitoring. That way you would have the data stored and could do a hellava lot more with it than just look at a trace!

We already have a software that came with the equipment. However, my boss wants a separate chart recorder because he's a bit traditional.
