How do I handle a boyfriend who always tells me that if I don't straighten up then he's going to find someone who's better than me? I mean, better than me?! How do you feel about that? He's constantly teasing me with it, even at times being serious with the notion. I can't handle myself with this kind of a crisis and he understands how I feel. He doesn't really care about that. He just wants to up and leave me and find someone better. It's seriously driving me nuts.

I'd at least bring it to his attention once, if that doesn't work, you may have to consider cutting your losses and moving on. It is what it is.
What Mike said. Tell him once, loud and clear, that this behaviour upsets you, if he still demands that you "straighten up", dump him.
Part of me understands, the other part never will. My relationships have been ziltch and the ones I do find are really just depressing to me. I've read various horror stories online about marriages, dating, etc... unexpected babies, cheating... so many that I've really lost all interest in it. I've tried spiritually finding truth only to see that idea shattered at the hands of a soul-mate like connection to a married chick (who wants to turn darkie into her new best friend). So much for life! But I'd hate to have her husband meet me, he'd see through this immediately haha I'll avoid all this even her from now on!
Remove all hair on your body with some of that foaming chemical goop, then begin referring to him by no other term but "puddle pup".
Alternately, get the term "Yarblocko" tattoo'd across your forehead, then carry on as though none of what you're going on about ever occurred.
Give him the same treatment, but expect more then complain because he does not live up to your expectations. A "RELATIONSHIP BULLY" comes in either gender so bully back. Once you demonstrate what a jerk he is maybe he will calm down. If not, don't waste your time. Been with a few girls like that in my lifetime and have blown them off. Good luck. 
are you playing up though? what's he expecting from you when he says 'straighten up'? i think him saying he'd find someone better is pretty rude, but maybe he's just letting you know he's not stuck with you and you're being a twat.

Stop being so clingy and attached and look for somebody better than him. There will always be a better man or a better woman if you look hard enough.
If he thinks he can find somebody better and he decides to break up for that person, thats his loss right?

The general consensus seems to be that you should break up with him and I strongly agree if he is making you feel uncomfortable dump the dickhead. It will hurt at first but you can become stronger from it in the knowledge that you are worthwhile and are not going to let a guy treat you with disrespect.
