Well last week I finally broke down and bought an XBOX 360 because they really dropped in price now.

It was a dilema in our house for a while because they couldn't agree which system to buy.

One wanted the Xbox 360
One wanted the Wii
One wanted PS3

So anyway I find the labeling on the games confusing. We have the old XBOXsystem and it was more straight forward.
When it said 1-4 players, it meant 1-4 ppl could play at the same time against eachother.
I got a few games for them that looked like they said 1-4 players but then when they went to play them you couldn't play against eachother. It was geared more to the XBOX LIVE which I don't plan on getting for them right now.
They like playing games vs eachother.

I got Crash Bandicoot: Crash of the Titans and it is kind of cool because you can play co-op with another person. I actually got into this one myself, and I am not a gamer. I couldn't jump very good so when the other person jumped I just jumped in their knapsack.

I also bought Assassins Creed, Halo 3, Call of Duty 3

Are there any good games you can recommend out there that you can play against/ vs other ppl without going on XBOX live?

Call of Duty, and Gears of War. I really would have recommended getting the PS3..

Well the B/f still is set on PS3 because of the Blue Ray player. He didn't want the XBOX because he said they are shit and I am going to regret it. If we get those red rings of death I will never hear the end of it. I figured the PS3 is still 400.00 and the 360 went down to 200.00 so I got it. I also found there were more games my younger one could play on it then the PS3 games.

My older son actually looked at the Gears of War. So you can play that against eachother?

we are going to buy a Wii:)
both because we dont have the money to replace the TV to get a PS3 and because after playing a friends they are so much fun:)

we were surposed to be getting it today but PB is still at her mums house

I don't get it? Why are you getting a wii but you don't have the money to replace the TV?
Do you mean because you need an HD tv for the PS3?

yea, i only have the old style anolog TV's, not a plazma TV.

plus we love zelder which you can only get on the Wii and the Wii's are great fun (and excersise too) to play:)

Yeah the Wii does look fun. It caters to the younger kids too from the game selection I have seen. Even kindergarten kids can play it, so it's PERFECT FOR YOU....:p

Halo and COD aren't as good as they are made to be

Shorty, are you getting a Live account?

NO... not at this time anyway. That is why I am looking to find some good games that you don't have to play online to play against other ppl. I find a lot of the games are geared to playing
online if you want to play against ppl. I want some good ones that we can just play against eachother offline.

Ah ok, well if you ever do I'll add you;)

Hmm.....if you like good story and role playing, I highly recommend Mass Effect. Great game with a cinematic experience, and you get to affect the outcome/choose your dialogue and actions and affect the story and world.

Xbox live is, in my opinion, the best part of the Xbox system. It only costs about $60/year. I'd say it's definitely worth it.. Jump on line, and you could experience the fun of shotting madanthonywayne with a shotgun on halo 3! That is, if I don't nail you first. (my username on Xbox live is the same as here).

And the Wii is great for little kids. PS3? meh. Maybe when more games come out for it and the price drops a bit more.

actually i thought about buying that as well:p

we were playing mario cart the other day on a friends one, its so much fun. thats why PB wants one

For $60/yr how much time can you spend playing online?

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh Shooting you MAD that is tempting ;)

Unlimited, as long as you pay. There are no time limits

Madanthony, I sent you a fr;)

oh and shorty, i have it on quite good authority that the wii rocks drunk as long as you make sure the wrist strap is on tight:p

my brother tried to throw his through his brand new plazma screen:p
