Atoms and Space

You're not sure what "fired me up"?

Have you considered that your rudeness might have something to do with it? This, for instance:

You called me childish, stupid and prideful, all in the space of three lines.

And you call yourself a Christian.
When did I call myself a Christian?

EDIT: I can be a bit of a prick sometimes.

When did I call myself a Christian?
You must have forgot daveW...
Being a Christian with an open mind due to experiences I trust the bible.

I call myself a Christian(not part of a Church, protestant by birth, my mothers side)

To save the space... All quotes below are DaveW. Follow the links..

"I'm a Christian because I believe what Jesus taught is..."

"Being a Christian I believe The Ten Commandments are the laws which are timeless."

"I’m a Christian, all other gods are false in my opinion (call it arrogance but I call it faith). Dave P.S SnakeLord, just out of interest have you heard... "

"Well since I'm a Christian, lets concentrate on Christianity. "

Woww that brings back memories! Snakelord, hope he's okay.

My position is this. Theist. I believe in something, a being as such greater than us. I call it Holy God, but for spiritualists I call it source.

Can't remember how long I've believed this for.

I do believe Jesus is the son of Yahweh, which doesn't make him God, well maybe in our universe it does.

Do I follow Christ? Maybe subconciously as remnants of other beliefs I've held in the past.

I was an agnostic when I was 27-30ish, but I'm not an agnostic now.

I can see why JR thought you were a Christian.
You were calling yourself a Christian up until April last year, did you stop being a Christian after that?

I'm not a Christian now, but most of my arguments are based within Christianity or the bible as this is what I know the most of.

I've wondered every now and then if humans all are universes!?

If we are than we know that universes stop expanding! Imagine what we could learn if we proved the body is a minituare version of a living universe! Maybe creates realities, that other life forms exist in. It could be real.

I was looking at to atom and it actually mimics either a solar system(nuclesus Sun/Star) protons/neutrons and we have electrons to play with within one atom. There could be a galaxy within an atom maybe, instead of just a solar system.

There is around on average, seven billion billion billion atoms within each human(info from google A.I.

Any thoughts?
If each human being is an individual Universe, what then is the "medium" in which we exist - ie, what we commonly refer to as the Universe ?

How would the fact that each individual human comprises a Universe prove that Universes stop expanding ?
Maybe the individual human universes are expanding within the expanding "Universal Universe" they occupy space in, and simply appear to be static in size because from our vantage point outside the individual Universe, they appear to have reached a maximum size.

What do you suppose becomes of an individual human universes when a person dies ?

It would mean that people are more special and important then we thought.
It would imply that we're something other than what we believed, not necessarily more or less of anything.
I mean - let's face it - the Universe is pretty much just there, regardless of why it's there.
Not to say that it's not damned impressive, if only for the sheer scale of the thing.
But even if every single person was a Universe, they'd still just be there.

Maybe the body, within the body is a living universe. What you decide is part of your universe affects billions of life forms within your universe. Most theists believe in a soul that is immortal, so maybe the universe within us feeds the soul with information gathered from your universe where it accepts some new things and rejects some things. Basically aiding the learning of the soul.

How would the fact that each individual human comprises a Universe prove that Universes stop expanding ?

Human bodies die is what I was thinking.

Are you talking about humans looking static to each other but are in fact expanding?

I think you learn from it, your eternal soul. If children die young, their soul just didn't learn much from this incarnation.

We would be just here. Evolving.

Apologies for the off-topic post.

Does the being have a name?

Is Yahweh the being in question, or is Yahweh another god?

How many gods do you believe in, davewhite04?

Also: if you believe the Yahweh is a God, and you believe that Jesus is the son of Yahweh, then what do you think it lacking in your belief about Yahweh and Jesus, so that you stop short of calling yourself a Christian any more?

You think Jesus is the son of a god, but not God himself? Are you saying you've given up belief in the Holy Trinity, then? And therefore you no longer consider yourself to be a Christian?

Do you think Jesus was just a prophet, on a par with Mohammed, say?

Muslims claim to worship the same God as the Christians, although they call it another name. Could you call yourself a Muslim, then? Or is there something that stops you identifying with Islam, as well?

Does the being have a name?

Not to my knowledge. I call it Holy God.

Is Yahweh the being in question, or is Yahweh another god?

I believe He could be a war god from an old Sumerian pantheon, a pretty minor god in ancient days. I think Gnostics either believe this or something similar, they just refer to modern day Yahweh as the demiurge.

How many gods do you believe in, davewhite04?

I don't believe in a set figure. Sometimes aliens can be mistaken as gods, Enki, Enhil, Anu were aliens, well they were gods I guess to ancient folk.

Christians don't believe in any God above Yahweh.

Maybe there is a Holy Spirit, I hope so. If there is then it proves Yahweh has some very good attributes. But I don't think Yahweh is Holy, so Jesus is handy to intercede for the human race, and the Holy Spirit is handy because it reminds you of home.

Do you think Jesus was just a prophet, on a par with Mohammed, say?

He was defineately a prophet, and the son of Yahweh(God of this universe).

Muslims claim to worship the same God as the Christians, although they call it another name. Could you call yourself a Muslim, then? Or is there something that stops you identifying with Islam, as well?

I identify with Muslims quite a bit. I think they know more about the Holy God they worship. As far as I'm concerned Allah ceased to exist January 2002, just after 9/11. I have said this before and don't want to go down that yellow brick road again.

EDIT: Off topic. If you enjoyed Skyrim, there is another game out similar called Tainted Grail: The fall of Avalon.

I think the question is about what you believe other people believe; I think we are asking you how many Gods you believe there actually are. (I mean, it doesn't have to be provably so, just what you think is so.) If you were a betting man, and picked a number, what number would you pick?

I am a betting man(just reminded me to put a bet on the US Open!). Well, all the gods in the Old Testament, Bhaal is worshipped still! The Greek gods still worshipped now, It's kinda like what atheists say, "Man made up gods, to explain the unknown" or something like that. I think, the more followers a God has the more power the God in question wields. Jesus beat all other gods and they have hardly recovered at all, hence we never see their influence in the world, unless Zeus does blast the odd bit of folk lightening!

Currently under 50, more than 10.

To be clear, you are saying you personally believe there are somewhere between 10 and 50 distinct entities objectively existing out there that are Gods?

That is ... not what I expected.

I take it then you no longer believe in The One God of the Bible, who decries all false Gods before him.

Yes, thinking on it it will be more.

Yahweh is who you're talking about? Jesus is the Son of Yahweh, who is God of this world and maybe this universe. So no, I believe in Yahweh and Jesus being God's between them. Here is a small list of gods in the bible that I whipped off the google search.

Chemosh, Ba'al, Asherah, Dagon, Hermes

Research if you're interested, you might find more.

As I understand it the Bible explicitly states that there is only one true God. It's even encoded as the First Commandment.

While the Bible might invoke the names of other deities, I can't be sure without analysis and context that it is implying they live alongside TOTG as distinct entities (likewise, Sagan surely mentions God or gods in his 'Demon Haunted World', but the context will make clear what he is saying about them and their existence).

I am less interested in finding out about gods in the Bible; this was really about your take on the matter. Almost everything I've read from you seemed to point toward the traditional one true God, so this is new.

I have acknowledged other gods for a while now. Just because you acknowledge other gods existence doesn't mean you can't be a Christian(I believed in other gods(didn't worship them) while a Christian). I'm sure foghorn can find out when I started believing in many gods.

Have you ever looked at or given consideration to North or South American indigenous gods?
