Are Women and Men getting enough iodine in their diet ?

And from what I have learned

We need to get both potassium iodide and pure iodine

By the way make sure you research this , thoroughly

Do you live in the "goitre belt"?

see http://curezone.com/forums/am.asp?i=1036622

I wonder if you gave every plant a vitamin and multi-mineral pill, like those you get from a chemist shop, would that help?

Kelp is a good source of iodine (1/4 tsp = 389mcg of iodine )

However the best kelp source is from Iceland , why because kelp also absorbs pollutants from the aquatic enviroment

In Iceland the enviroment where the kelp is grown , is sheltered from pollutants better than pacific grown kelp

I'm allergic to iodine and go into a anaphylactic shock which one time caused me to die. So I must be very careful when I eat shellfish as I can't eat to many without some reaction happening.

You would be unlikely to be sensitive to the amount of iodine in, say, iodized salt.
It is a trace element, with the RDA measured in microgrammes per day.
For anyone living in the goitre belt, the minimal expense of buying the medicated salt might be well worth paying.
A few dollars a year.
Certainly wouldn't do any harm.
Excess Iodine is well tolerated, and simply excreted.

If you buy iodized salt, buy it in small amounts and keep it well sealed.
The iodide will break down into iodine, which will sublimate if left open, reducing the iodine content to zero.
