Are Out-of-body and/or Near-death experiences real or hallucinations?

Q can't beat me in a debate so he's taking to trying to discredit me.
Don't be silly Dave, OBE/NDE are complete nonsense, there is no debate. Clearly, the concern here from me and others is your excessive drinking and you not acknowledging it. I won't mention it again if you insist, but please take it under consideration and do something about it. It will kill you.

What? all of this is untrue. You shared your experiences, making it our business. And you did so here in this thread.
Nobody made anything up. I literally quoted you from this thread.

It is none of your business. If you want to debate something debate it. It should not be brought up in a random thread which derails it.

There is no such thing as an ex-alcoholic. There are only recovering alcoholics.
Yes there is, me.

Are you going to explain why you started randomly talking about it in this thread?

You make it fair game by bringing it up and continuing to talk about it.

That's on you.

Said every alcoholic in denial, ever.

You pretend you don't want to talk about it, then you keep defending it. This is classic denial behaviour.

Are you going to explain why you started randomly talking about it in this thread?
By all means, let's keep talking about it...

Hey everybody, DaveW would like to continue talking about his drinking with us...

Look, I get that you'd like us to not sort through your laundry, but don't blame us for it, and don't pretend anybody's making anything up that you didn't put out there yourself.

No I didn't, not in this thread, and I have no interest in discussing in this thread. .

That's on you.

What's on me? I didn't want to talk about my social life in a thread about something completely irrelevant.

By all means, let's keep talking about it...

No thanks.

Of course, you are. In your world, thinking something exists is irrational and thinking something doesn't exist is also irrational.
That's called logic, yes. It's what SciFo is about.

The point is, you cannot assert that DaveW did not experience what he experienced and it did not happen the way he said. You weren't there in his body.

You can doubt his interpretation; you can offer more plausible explanations; you can appeal to the lack of evidence supporting it.

It's a fine line, granted, but avoid asserting positive statements like 'it's all nonsense, there is no debate'.

Demonstrably false. Fer cryin' out loud.

Because of your stupid replies. Your wink at the end sums you and your attitude up.
In post 124 you literally asked a poster to keep talking about it.

No thanks.
OK.

All: Let this be the end of it shall we?

I remember being with my ex in the US and she thought I had a problem drinking two bottles a week(beer).

Drinking three times a week(4 pints) is not a problem. But thanks Pinball.
That’s a lot. A pint is a bit more than 1/2 litre. 1litre of 4% beer is 4 units (unit being 10 g alcohol). So 12 pints is over 6litres which is over 24 units. And as much as 30 units if your beer is 5%, which quite a few of them get close to these days.

That is too much. And then we have to square it with you getting hammered on vodka, quite apart from the beer.

Who are you talking to?
Everyone.

You haven't asked everyone to stop talking about it - and you certainly haven't stopped talking about it.

So someone has to step up and ask everyone to stop talking about for your benefit.

Fer crying out loud, it's like you're trolling us. if I didn't think it would start you up all over again, I'd ask if you're drinkng right now.

At least a dozen posts on the last few pages are you explicitly talking about your drinking. Memory problems?

I think you are pulling our collective legs.

If Dave had decided he doesn't want to discuss it then we should stop. I drink more than Dave
Apparently we were all wrong, including Dave. He does want to keep talking about it:
I'll decide when to stop talking about it, once it's been moved.

:) Yeah, I do hit the vodka sometimes. I just drink socially three times a week. Vast majority of the time four cans of Kronenburg 1666 is my max. I don't see 12 cans spread over the week will kill me, rarely binge drink(the worst kind).

Good guess 5%!
