architects, engineers... do they think about the building process?

Can you imagine if customers had say in the design of their vehicles like they do for buildings and houses making every vehicle was unique.

You may be interested in ASMEIL drawings (the old overlay system you mentioed but for cad files).

I have a web site, providing mainly mechanical cad drawings, and some ASMEIL'ing :)
