Please check with the chemist/pharmacy, they may have just the ticket. If I don't return, you know what happened. Thanks everyone for the advice.
Димексид? Я видела как им снимали прилипший клей. Он продаётся в аптеках.Please check with the chemist/pharmacy, they may have just the ticket.
So, I bought acetone and a warming bowl to heat it up. It dramatically helped loosen the nail glue, and I could pull the fake nails off with more ease. I wish there was something less toxic/harsh though to do this. Please check with the chemist/pharmacy, they may have just the ticket.
Don't wear glue on nails. So, I bought acetone and a warming bowl to heat it up. It dramatically helped loosen the nail glue, and I could pull the fake nails off with more ease. I wish there was something less toxic/harsh though to do this. The nail glue that remained on my skin after I applied the nails recently (per my original question), came off with warm soap and water.

Not wear glue-on nails?I wish there was something less toxic/harsh though to do this.
All 3 of those things work to soften it up and it looks like they worked.Last week I got Gorilla glue all over most of my fingers and, stupidly, let it dry. I tried acetone, warm water and vegetable oil with no success. I went to bed, figuring I was just going to have to live with it for the rest of my life and hopefully adapt. When I woke up in the morning, it was gone. I'm not really sure what happened.
We used to walk along Duinweg to get to the tram stop, when we lived in The Hague. Duin (pronounced as in “down”) means dune, which shows where the North and South Downs get their name. (There are a lot of sand dunes on the Dutch coast, due to the Rhine delta, which comprises most of the Netherlands.)wegs "weg" is "way in Dutch. I only know that from the Melkweg club, "Milky way."

And you can say “Weg!” In Dutch to tell somebody to piss off. A bit like “On yer bike!”, I suppose. (The g in Dutch is pronounced like the ch in loch, but more guttural.)
You don't have a egg cooker? $12 at Amazon and perfect results every time.I looked up some common life hacks and this came up:
I’ve never heard of this “trick” before but upon further research, a wooden spoon across the top of a pot of boiling water helps prevent it from boiling over because the spoon disrupts the formation of large bubbles and foam that can spill over the edge. As the water boils, bubbles form at the surface. The wooden spoon interferes with these bubbles, breaking them up or providing a place for the foam to collect without spilling over. The spoon can also create small, localized disturbances that cause the bubbles to pop or collapse before they reach the top of the pot. Additionally, since wood is a poor conductor of heat, the spoon doesn't get too hot, maintaining its effectiveness.
- Put a wooden spoon across a boiling pot of water to keep it from boiling over.
I frequently hard-boil eggs and will use this idea because the water always boils over.
What a waste of both money and (more important in the kitchen) cupboard space. Eggs must be one of the simplest possible things to cook. All you need is a small saucepan and a clock, surely? You don't have a egg cooker? $12 at Amazon and perfect results every time.
Why? You should get the water boiling and then turn it down to a simmer before you put the eggs in, and put the lid on. There is no reason to have it boiling so vigorously that it boils over. That’s just a waste of energy, because the water can’t get any hotter than boiling point, no matter how strongly you heat it.I looked up some common life hacks and this came up:

What a waste of water and electricity. With the egg cooker you use a tiny bit of water (oz?) and very little electricity. $11 isn't a waste of money and the cooker is small as well. What a waste of both money and (more important in the kitchen) cupboard space. What? I put the eggs in water and turn the flame to high and walk away. I realize walking away is why they’re boiling over but then I lower the heat to medium. Not simmer. Why?
