An experimental piece of evidence that should make some think more about those things that our conventional physicists call "black holes"

This is going to be a very short thread. To anyone interested in the subject of black holes I would urge them to watch the video linked to this post. The only other thing I ought to mention is to watch carefully, to pause the video at time 42 seconds and think a little, to pause and think once more at time 1.02 minutes, and to finally try to understand why everyone should exercise a little dose of wisdom when they think they are right because they have the 'back-up' of the conventional "wisdom". Enjoy.

Please provide a summary of what we can expect to see in the video, and perhaps what you want to say with this thread. It is frowned upon to post blind links to media without an explanation.

What does this have to do with BHs?

Really, you did not understand what that 'blind' choice of a video shows? (BTW< the creator of that video was me!)

No. Can you talk me through it?

If you want to respond to me or Dave's posts specifically, use the "reply" button. It makes things easier.

The first image of a black hole
The "Valued" status kicks in after so many posts I think.
I am truly sorry. My intention was to express my surprise that you didn't seem to make sense of the video. Now, before explaining why I has posted that video, I ought to tel everyone in this forum that I have only been here once, about 5-6 years ago. I am therefore by-and-large a tourist on a very unfamiliar land. Which ultimately means that I am pretty much trying to 'walk' as fast as I can in darkness.

You joined 9 years ago, made one post then didn't come back till now.
Can you explain your video please?

OK. In 2016 a group of physicists from around the world decided to use number of telescopes that were scattered around the world into an array of telescopes capable of gathering both optical , as well as non-optical data. Working together over a period of 6 months, I believe, they made a composite picture of a non-descriptive galaxy about 60 or 70 ly away from the earth. Finally, they combined all the data that had been gathered and that's how the first 'real image' of a black hole was lobbied all around the world.
it goes without saying that such a news created a hysteria in the the scientific environments.

why are you asking stupid questions? Of course I know how to explain the video, since it was made by nomodey else but me. That angers me, because the reality is that I don't realy care one bit about what you say or think. Wake up to yourself, mate!
and on that note
i will now bid you all hoorroo.

Please click on that link, and then you'l be able to undersyand why I posted my video
I’ve read the CNN link you posted, which seems to be about observation of a jet, emerging perpendicular to the plane of a ring of light emission around a black hole. The ring is explained as being due to matter orbiting the hole. The cause of the jet seems unexplained so far. (I’ve read about these jets before: they seem to be a known thing.)

What has this to do with the subject of your thread?

I’ve reported you for being so unhelpful and rude when we quite reasonably ask you to explain your video.

I am asking YOU to explain YOUR video since it has nothing to do with BHs.
Of course I know how to explain the video,
And yet.

since it was made by nomodey else but me
That's great, it has nothing to do with BHs though.

I don't realy care one bit about what you say or think
You care enough to post the video though right?
