Apparently this AIDS drug, Nevirapine (Viramune), has been unethically tested in Africa with doctored results. It's supposed to protect people with HIV from transmitting it to their unborn children but quite a few people are dying from liver failure as a result of taking it. Also, doctors diagnose patients in Africa for AIDS just through physical symptoms, none of the fancy chemical levels testing available there. Doesn't this present a huge risk for misdiagnosing and killing patients who don't have AIDS with Nevirapine?
