About The Members 30: Baron Max

Valued Senior Member
Cantankerous, humorous, controversial and Conservative, with the ability to stir a dust bowl in the most innocent of threads, its my pleasure to hand over this weeks round of About The Members to Baron Max.

A member since 2005 Baron is the bane of all liberals everywhere. A plain talking Texan, Baron never hesitates to frustrate those who think modern society is on its way to providing humanity with more peace, love, racial harmony and fair justice. Baron at 65 knows very well that the world isn’t a nice place for nice people and that global hunger and poverty will not end anytime soon. I have sided with Baron as many times as I have clashed with him and behind his ornery postings I suspect is really a nice old man who’s seen and heard enough BS to fill the grave of every sciforum member and out length any one of Tiassa's posts. So let’s take this opportunity to get to know a little about the man behind the text. I'm sure if Baron tells you that a hen dips snuff its safe to look under her wing;)

1. Baron what in your opinion are the most significant changes you have seen in the U.S these past 40 years?

2. In your 65 years would you say ‘the more things change the more they stay the same’ or do you think life and people are more different now than when you were growing up?

3. What was your first paying job?

4. Were you raised in Texas?

5. Have you travelled very much? If so where?

6. Are you married? Do you have children?

7. What are the pros and cons of aging?

8. What would be the most important piece of wisdom you have learned throughout the years?

9. What do you like and dislike most about Sciforums?

10. What would you say is the biggest misconception Sciforum members have about you?

Viagra ...it helps people talk less and do more.
Cellphones ...it helps people do less and talk more.

2. In your 65 years would you say ‘the more things change the more they stay the same’ or do you think life and people are more different now than when you were growing up?

Yep, essentially the same. I think the difference is numbers and volume. In the old days, people might have hated other races/ethicities, religions, sexual practices, etc, but they were further apart and couldn't do nearly the same damage as now. Imagine the impact on world opinion if 25% of Mayberry or Podunk residents held a protest.

3. What was your first paying job?

Cleaning cow shit, horse shit, hog shit and chicken shit from the stalls and pens. I was 9 yrs old and I think I made $5 per week ...but thankfully I didn't have to pay Mom to launder those shitty clothes!

4. Were you raised in Texas?

No, but I got here just as fast as I could, so please don't hold it against me.

5. Have you travelled very much? If so where?

Yeah, I've been around enough to know that people are fucked up and selfish and greedy and nasty and intolerant all over the world. But remember, I traveled around at a time when Americans weren't hated so much as they are now. Hell, now even Americans hate Americans!

6. Are you married? Do you have children?

Nope, never married ...couldn't find a woman willing to put up with me, and didn't want the ones that would! Yep, I think I have some kids, but we shouldn't talk about that.

7. What are the pros and cons of aging?

First, there are no pros for aging! The cons are too many to list - just think of your young mind inside a body that's like an eggshell. It's far better if you just stay young.

8. What would be the most important piece of wisdom you have learned throughout the years?

That you ain't nearly as important as you think you are. If you died tomorrow, it would mean less to more people than a single drop of rain in a rainstorm.
And world events are not nearly as important as you think they are. Remember those gazillions of people that were killed and hurt in the tsnami? Remember how horrible that was and how people were oh, so horrified and upset, etc? Well, it's all forgotten, ain't it.

See? No one really gives a shit, they just say that and whine and cry because they don't want to be compared to Baron Max!

If half of the world sank beneath the waves of the ocean, it would be forgotten in a couple of weeks ...maybe less. Ah, but that couple of weeks would be filled with crying and hand-wringing and wailing and mourning ...all of it just play-acting.

9. What do you like and dislike most about Sciforums?

I like how Sciforums mostly sucks giant donkey dicks. I dislike how Sciforums mostly sucks giant donkey dicks.

10. What would you say is the biggest misconception Sciforum members have about you?[/quote]

I have no idea. How would I know about the misconceptions of others?

Baron Max

Baron how would you compare today's youth generation to the one you grew up with? Are there any major differences?

BM, you know that nerve nexus underneath the diaphragm? Can I stab you there and see what it does? I've always wanted to do this to someone.

What's the point of trolling the thread? If you want to ask a question about who he is or his life etc. fine otherwise I will simply suggest to him he abandon the thread all together. If you don't like him and have no curiosity about him then ignore the thread.

Do you like apricots or plums?

Is your yard fenced?

What did you have for dinner tonight?

Do you date?

What kind of car do you drive?

Polo shirts or button down dress shirts?

Where the heck does the user name "Baron Max" come from?

Major differences? I think we were the last generation that were taught, and that learned, simple respect for others, esp. our elders. That simple act seems to have disappeared in later generations of Americans.

I like apricots and plums. Used to love dried apricots because the shape sometimes reminded me of my favorite activity ...eating pussy!
Yes, yard is fenced with a chainlink fence in back for my dog.
Dinner? I'm actually a very good cook, but tonight I simply microwave a couple of leftover sausages.
No, I don't date anymore ...no woman would have me! ;=)
Car? No, no! I'm in Texas, I drive a pickup! A big Dodge Ram.
Mostly pullover shirts, seldom dress up anymore.
The name "Baron Max" is special to me, but that's as much as you need to know.

Had you been born and raised destitute in Gaza, what would you have done with your life?

I would have worked hard, saved my money, invested wisely, then immigrated to the USA so I could make something of myself and my family.

No, Hype, I sure as hell wouldn't have become a radical, militant, violent Hamas Muslim fundamentalist intent on blowing up innocent women and children, and causing more trouble and problems for my own people.

Baron Max

Good answer, and if I may add a follow-up: What would you have done with your life if (as is the case for most Gazans) circumstances would not allow you to become a USAmerican instead?

You seem to have a rather poor notion of how one's circumstances affect who they become.

Baron Max:

If you could kill someone from this forum who would it be? (just 1 please)

If you had to go to the movies with 3 members from the forum, who would you pick?

What type of women do you like?

If you were forced to have a gay-relationship with a male on this forum, who would you choose?

What is your favourite movie?

Do you believe in God?

How do you relax? What do you do to unwind?

What do you think of yourself, what you've become and what you've accomplished during your lifetime?
