Although I am still particularly new to this site I noticed that in the past few days the topics have been sub-par especially in this section, whereas when I first started posting people where making great threads and posting interesting ideas. What happened people?
Anyway, I have something that might get you thinking again.
Karl Jaspers, the most mislabed, underated and probably greatest modern philosopher said that, "truth begins with two".
My question is do you agree with this. Do you see the truth as being something that begins when two people agree with each other, or do you think that you know the truth by yourself.
Personally, I think that it is a little of both but it probably starts with agreement and without a basic agreement, none of us would be able to think in an ordered way and the world will be chaos. The truth then is in a sense necessary for humans and is also in a sense common sense.
I know that these are lofty thoughts and it is a pretty focused but I want to know what you think, and don't worry about sounding stupid because chances are if you post on this site, you are smart enough to make a intelligent response.
Also, I am not asking you to mindlessly throw a million quotes about truth my way that you probably haven't even thought about to take up space, pretend like you have thought about it or because you feel you need to respond, but if you so badly have the need to do that, well, I can't really stop you now can I?
What I am asking is what do you think about this question?
